“A day in the life of an Urban Life intern is always an adventure. It is evolving, exciting and challenging but one you will never forget” –Katie Jacobs

Each day will look slightly different depending on the choice of non-profits you wish to serve alongside as well as the upcoming events of that month.

There will often be ‘holes’ in your schedule but that does not mean there is not something to do! Book studies, Bible studies, planning events, blogging, and spending intentional time to talk with neighbors are just some examples of things that can fill your time.

We also don’t want to neglect the little but important items such as your free time! Living in community is awesome but the reality is it can also become challenging and tiresome especially when you are not finding time to rest. We encourage you to schedule devotional time, personal time i.e. laundry, groceries, cleaning, etc. as well as fun new adventures! You are just a walk away from the center of Uptown. Explore coffee shops, museums, the Epicentre, sports stadiums, Noda; the art district and so much more!

Schedules are likely to change as new opportunities come up so it is important for you to be flexible and willing to switch things up.

You have 3 months, 100 days, 2 400 Hours, 144 000 minutes, 8 640 000 seconds.

This is your time. Make it count.
